Where are we in time?
Are we living in the book of Revelation?
If we are I must ask and encourage you to ask yourself
What should we question?
Religion has been made to be highly complex with its six thousand year history giving six thousand years of theology by countless learned men of God. It is noted in volumes of books to cover all the differing opinions stated over the years would indeed be over whelming; with the simplicity of Christ Crucified and risen lost in its volumes. My focus will be on the text of the Bible in regards to what it says. I will seek out the simple Spirit led questions to ask of myself in this open forum that you might ponder along with me things that my heart manifests as I consider where in biblical time are we? Do not misunderstand me my quest is not to open my own theology; but, rather to question and have understanding of the all those things I read, see and hear in these days. RSV 1 Corinthians 12:7 “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” Place in faith your confidence toward the working of the Holy Spirit within you to guide you to the eternal truth of Christ Crucified in these last days.
In the media motivated world of today self indulgence is an underlying headliner; consuming our minds in everything we see and hear. Self control, position, worldly goods and status have been a driving force with morality and option; personal faith, integrity, honesty and accountability are negotiable toward our own personal goals; our principles adjustable to current trends.
Personal self reliance has placed any notions that there are forces beyond our self built politically correct society; to the extreme point where we have made God Himself negotiable. As I look at the world at large I am reminded of a few turn of the century quotes from G. H. Chesterton:
• “The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried.”
And "These are the days when the Christian is expected to praise every creed except his own ".
This is not an attack on Churches however, there seems to be problems with the church at large beginning with its own division between orthodoxy and evangelical perceptions. Small churches in America seem to suffer with a lack of making its congregation totally aware of their personal responsibilities in knowing and acting on the full word of God; with its teaching encouraging Pastor dependency. The goal of the church as written is to be of one mind with members of more knowledge as guide posts not dominating pillars of our subjective consciousness. The churches responsibility is to make every member totally aware they are personally responsible to know and act on the Word of God. A vast amount of Christians today rely on their pastors, priest, teachers, and counselors to be their intermediary with God. I know this condition first hand from my own personal journey as a Christian; which I will elaborate on through personal witness interweaved in the following pages.
So at this point I offer a prayer that our precious precious Jesus prick your heart with the truth in the mysteries of His blood and word that you see with clear eyes and a true desire for His love and guidance into His righteousness that he confess you before His Father in whom He abides with a hope towards you that you come with a unassuming heart that He who is holy and above all may guide you to abide in their love. IN Jesus mighty name, Amen.
The text we will be entering here shows there is going to be a shift in the Church as we know it today. I also believe we have personal responsibility to recognize these shifts and how it will affect us individually as well as corporately in the body of Christ.
NKJ Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load. 6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
I believe that we are now entering into the latter days….so let’s look at what is said about these days; and spend some time breaking it down and reasoning or pondering what God is saying pertaining to today. And what questions should we be asking ourselves about what we believe in these stated perilous times. Keeping reverently God’s Word in:
• NAB 2 Peter 1:20-21 “Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the Holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.”
More to Come...
